सम्प्राप्ते सन्निहिते काले
नहि नहि रक्षति डुकृञ्करणे॥
मूढ जीव, भगवान की भजन कर, जीवन भर के बंधन से मुक्त हो जाएगा। भगवान तो तुझे मरणकाल में भी नहीं बचा सकते हैं॥
मुढ जहीहि धनागमतृष्णां
कुरु सद्बुद्धिं मनसि वितृष्णाम्।
यल्लभसे निजकर्मोपात्तं
वित्तं तेन विनोदय चित्तम्॥
अज्ञानी जो धन और संबंधित मतभ्रम की तृष्णा में पड़ा रहता है, वह वैसे ही धन को प्राप्त करता है जैसे एक पशु किसी तुच्छ वस्तु को प्राप्त करता है। इसलिए अपने कर्मों के फलस्वरूप आए धन के वश में आने वाले व्यक्ति का मन हमेशा अशांत होता है॥
यावद्वित्तोपार्जनसक्तः
तावद्वित्तैः स्याम यावद् इच्छसि जीव एव
कुरु संजीवनं वासरे॥
धन कमाने की आसक्ति जितनी रहेगी, उतनी तुझे धन चाहिए। इसलिए जल्दी से धन कमाने के लिए जीवन को संवार ले॥
जातिन्द्रियप्रीत्या जराया
जातपरतां पाह निरन्तरम्।
कामक्रोधवियुक्तानां
यतीनां यतचेतसाम्॥
जो मनुष्य व्यक्ति आनन्दित इन्द्रियों की प्राप्ति के लिए जीता रहता है और इच्छा-क्रोध से अजीत होता है, उसका मन हमेशा संयमित रहता है॥
वायस्त्याभिचारिणं वितन्वन्ति
जगन्नारयेति लोकाः।
तस्मिन्न् कार्ये न मनोरथे
न च ध्यात्तं विराजते भुवि॥
इस संसार में लोग धन का पीछा करते हैं और कहते हैं, “जगन्नाथ की इच्छा है।” इसलिए इस तरह के काम करते वक्त वह न तो उस कार्य को मनोरथ बनाता है और न ही ध्यान में ही उसमें रमता है॥
